    • Why should I paint rather than replace my exterior siding?

Changing and replacing aluminum and vinyl siding can get very expensive, especially when you start ripping everything off which could lead to some unwanted surprises. On top of that, with material prices increasing, siding today is much thinner than the siding used 30 to 40 years ago, which was much more durable and built to last for many years. When we paint exterior siding using our specialized equipment and customized exterior coatings and stains , the result looks just like new and even more durable than most factory paints! By revamping your original siding with our proprietary products, you benefit from high-grade, inorganic, solar reflective pigments resulting in a win-win situation when it comes to both quality and price. Let’s not forget, it does no good to the environment to toss away perfectly functional siding, doors and windows that just need a new look!

    • Why should I choose Spray-Net for my painting project?

We are the spray-applied painting specialists. From paint formulation all the way to application, we offer homeowners the highest standards and expertise in the painting industry and carved out a niche for ourselves as a result. We provide a unique and cost-effective renovation solution by bringing the factory experience right to your doorstep. We consistently deliver superior and unmatched results because of our commitment to continuous research and development in our field. To achieve a permanent factory finish, we’ve formulated our own exclusive line of proprietary paints and coatings, specifically tailored to each surface that we renew. We’ve also engineered a customized mobile spray booth which creates the ideal controlled environment to flawlessly paint a front door or your kitchen cabinets for time savings and consistency. We’ve painted and revamped thousands of homes already, and every painting season we continue to add to this number.

    • Why don’t you paint wood?

Wood is an organic, living material. Like all living things, organic surfaces must breathe a lot and by applying a coating over it, this breathing room will be reduced. The natural tendency for the wood to breathe and move would eventually cause the paint to chip and peel. Not to mention, there’s actually no added benefit of spraying wood since its porous nature doesn’t allow for a smooth factory finish and what we’re going for.

Finally, when we give you a quote for your project during your consultation, we give you an exact fixed price that won’t change so you can determine whether a Spray-Net revamp makes sense in terms of your budget. It is difficult to estimate how long it will take to strip wood, so we wouldn’t be able to give you a fixed and exact quote ahead of time which doesn’t coincide with our promise to you.

    • Why don’t you paint sliding windows?

Sliding windows, unlike the manual variety that crank open, will slide back and forth in a track. Due to the friction of the sliding window within its track, this puts immense strain on the coating, and we can’t guarantee that it could withstand the abuse. Since we warranty our work for 15 years against peeling, we cannot offer a permanent solution for sliding windows. Unfortunately for this reasonwdont provide estimates for sliding windows, as this is not a surface we can deliver the Spray-Net promise on.

    • Why can’t you repair a rusted surface by applying putty and then sanding it?

When you see rust on your front door, it’s often too late to save it. When you can actually see the rust, it means that the metal has already corroded behind the paint film. At this point, even after removing the rust, there’s no way to guarantee that it won’t come back and can jeopardize the lifespan of a paint job. For this reason, we avoid all rusted surfaces. If we can’t confidently stand behind our work, we’d rather not set false expectations.

    • Why can’t you paint a surface that has already been repainted?

We offer homeowners a permanent factory finish that serves as an alternative to replacement. If we can’t fulfill this promise to you, then we simply don’t take on the project. Delivering on the Spray-Net promise is very important to us. In the case of brick, if pores are already saturated with a coating, it’s virtually impossible for the brick to absorb our stain. Like stripping wood, the time needed to strip paint off aluminum and vinyl siding is indeterminate. It can actually take DAYS to completely remove several coats of paint. If a project takes days, then it’s not likely to be cost-effective.

“Just paint over it” you say? Well, if we paint over an existing coat of paint, the aggressive nature of our coatings to maximize adhesion might actually pull away at the less-resistant latex paint. If the original paint film comes off, then the outermost coat of paint (ours) would also come off with it.

    • What types of Exterior surfaces do you paint?

      We paint:

      • Aluminum, fiber cement, vinyl, and engineered wood sidings
      • Brick
      • Stucco  and  aggregate
      • Front and garage doors
      • Windows
      • Soffits, fascias, and gutters

These surfaces will be coated with paints customized according to the material and weather. The paints allow for durability,  washability, UV resistance, high-traffic scratch resistance, and flexibility.

    • What type(s) of Kitchen Cabinets do you paint?

Our paint for kitchen cabinets can be used on laminate, melamine, thermofoil/plastic, and wood kitchen cabinets. As needed, we use one of our two proprietary kitchen primers depending on the surface, as well as our eco-friendly chemical and mechanical preparation process to ensure adhesion on each surface!

    • What is the optimal weather for exterior painting?

Our paints and coatings are formulated with resins and additives that allow us to paint in any temperature above freezing point for at least 24 hours. In order to extend our exterior paint and provide consistent factory durable results, we use our patented weather adjustable paint process as needed.

    • Is there anything else that is unique to Spray-Net compared to your competitors?

Spray-Net offers the most customized paint job on the market. What that means for you is the most durable job for the price. This is made possible by combining a variety of our tools, processes, and proprietary product development. We even created a software called the Spray Network, used internally by all Spray-Netters. It takes into consideration the weather conditions, temperature, and humidity on the application day in order to customize the coating to ensure our factory finish and 15-year warranty against peeling. We also take into account where the coating will be applied on the home with regards to sun exposure and high-touch areas (such as doors) and adjust our coating formulation accordingly. We use non-organic pigments, which do not degrade and fade over time. This means that our colors stay brighter and last longer, even with direct UV expose.

Our paints differ as well by application. For instance, our brick coating is a stain that penetrates the brick, allowing it to breathe and last longer than a typical paint, which sits on the surface and traps moisture and peels within a couple of years. Our stucco coating is 15-times thicker and has a rubberier feel to evenly coat the texture of the stucco. Our vinyl shield coating has been formulated to allow darker color applications and to not warp with heat and UV exposure over time. Our line of kitchen cabinet coatings is hard enough to resist scratches but soft enough for daily wear and tear to prevent chipping. Custom paint for smarter painting!

    • Is Spray-Net the only one on the market who can paint on aluminum and vinyl siding, stucco and hardie-board, front and garage doors, windows, and brick?

Spray-Net isn’t the only company that paints aluminum and vinyl siding, stucco, hardie board, doors and windows, or brick. However, through years of research and rigorous testing and working with paint chemists, we have created custom formulations for each specific application. We can confidently offer a 15-year no-peel warranty on all of our applications with our custom coatings and patented process. Spray-Net is the only company delivering a factory durable finish on each of these surfaces, as it’s the only thing we do, all day, every day!

    • Is it worth painting my house if I plan on selling it?

Absolutely! Selling your home is all about curb appeal. You can spend thousands of dollars on interior renovations, but if no one is interested in walking into your home, no one will ever see them! Don’t forget: the last thing potential buyers want to see when approaching a home are outdated exterior colors and home repairs and maintenance that they’ll have to take care of, like faded siding or outdated exterior colors. Unlike you, they might not know about Spray-Net and think it will cost them too much to fix!

When you’re trying to sell your home, time is of the essence, and this is exactly why sellers turn to our convenient one-day exterior painting solution to quickly enhance the look of their homes. Not only does our service immediately boost curb appeal for a more inviting exterior appearance, it can simultaneously increase property value, allowing you to sell your home for a higher price. Furthermore, a fresh-looking kitchen is one of the best ways to increase the value of your home before selling it!

    • Do you replace caulking and weatherstripping?

When we paint your doors and windows, we remove the old caulking and replace it with brand-new 100% silicone Spray-Net colour-matched caulking. We completely replace the caulking because it’s a material that can’t be painted and because we want it to last as long as the actual paint job. When it comes to the weather-stripping of your garage door, we remove it and paint it with our compatible flexible coating. We don’t skip out on the details… even the smallest ones because they’re what often matter the most!

    • Do you only apply your paint by spray?

Yes, this is our specialty. Spray-applied paint results in a permanent, streak-free finish that just can’t be achieved with the traditional brush and roller method. All of our proprietary paints and coatings have been formulated solely for spray application with our equipment. Together, they create the optimal finish to give your home that brand-new look.

    • Do you offer after-sales customer support?

Once the work is completed on the day of your renewal, we tour your home with you to make sure we’re all satisfied with the final product! If we notice anything during this final inspection, we fix it right there on the spot or schedule a time to go back and fix it.

    • Do you offer a wide variety of colors?

We have a wide variety of colors for you to choose from, each specifically formulated for exterior use and formulated with optimal fade resistance in mind. We use a combination of the most popular standard siding and door and window colors to provide maximum durability against premature fading and discoloration, as well as to apply the finishing touch of matching-colored caulking.

Although we can match any exterior paint color you have in mind, we can’t always provide the same optimal fade resistance or a matching caulking color. Finally, we work with an experienced designer every year to help us come up with the latest color trends and ultra-stylish exterior color palettes… an added perk that our customers really appreciate!

    • Can’t I just paint my home myself?

You definitely can, but our customers are willing to pay a premium for our service because what they want are permanent results and the knowledge and expertise of our experienced team. We are not simply selling time. Our products are the result of hundreds of hours of research with paint chemists and rigorous field testing across North America to ensure optimal results and durability. Specifically formulated and uniquely tailored for the surfaces that we renew, our products easily outperform any commercially available latex paint you can find, and we’ve got the results to prove it!

Equally important is the knowledge and skill of our team, who have painted thousands of different homes and hundreds of thousands of hours of collective experience resulting in a process that consistently produces a permanent like-new factory finish. Homeowners choose us because they want more than painting—they choose us because they want a cost-effective way to modernize and love their homes again. By bringing factory results right to their doorsteps, our exterior renovation and kitchen cabinet solution does just that: a new way to renovate!

  • How it Works

    • What’s the finish of your exterior paint?

For aluminum and vinyl exterior siding, we strike the perfect balance between a matte and glossy finish to minimize the appearance of surface imperfections and to create a like-new washable finish. These types of custom finishes are not available with conventional paints limited to matte, satin, or semi-gloss. For doors and windows, we follow the same gloss standards as the door and window industry so that they look like they’ve just arrived from the factory!

    • What’s the difference between spray-applied paint and electrostatic paint?

Most people confuse the difference between spray-applied paint and electrostatic paint. Electrostatic paint is typically oil-based and is commonly used in the industrial sector to paint difficult to paint shapes, like cylinders. These objects need to be made of a high conducting metal such as steel. Using an electrical charge, paint is propelled toward the surface to create a perfect even finish. This isn’t necessary (or possible) in the residential sector because we use non-toxic water-based products and the surfaces that we revamp have very little to no conductivity so it wouldn’t work anyway. The water content of our products, as well as the painting of mostly non-metal surfaces, wouldn’t allow for a sufficient electrical charge. The big appeal of electrostatic painting is the low-overspray property of the technique, but all of our paints and coatings are specifically designed for spray application. Combined with our spray equipment, this technique results in a high transfer efficiency and minimal amount of overspray. When it comes to painting the exterior of a home, we’ve formulated the ideal products and have mastered the optimal techniques to deliver a like-new and durable factory finish.

    • What’s the advantage of your mobile spray booth?

The biggest challenge when it comes to exterior painting is undoubtedly the weather: rain, wind, humidity, and extreme temperature fluctuation. In unideal weather conditions, our mobile spray booth creates the perfect controlled environment for us to paint your front door for a flawless factory finish. Using artificial UV rays, our mobile spray booth allows us to achieve the required full property cure for same day re-installation. It also allows us to spray your kitchen cabinets in a controlled environment directly on-site resulting in a much quicker turnaround so you can get back to enjoying your kitchen quickly!

    • What’s the Difference Between a Virtual Estimate and an At-Home Consultation?

      Virtual Estimate
An estimate is a rough calculation of the cost of your project. While an at-home consultation will allow us to provide you with an exact price, we understand that sometimes a quick estimate is preferred when you’re at the beginning of planning a home renovation project. Our teams provide virtual estimates through video calls in order to meet these needs. Prior to the virtual meeting, we’ll ask you to provide some key information along with photographs of the surfaces you’d like to have painted. We will then reach out to you virtually to discuss the project, provide you with the estimate, answer any of your questions, and discuss whether you want to proceed to an at-home consultation.

      At-Home Consultation
An at-home consultation allows us to view your home and discuss the revamp that you have in mind. The duration of the consultation is typically up to an hour, and it’s important that you are present so that we can properly assess the project with you and answer any questions you may have. If you are planning to have the exterior of your home beautified, we’ll walk around your home together to assess the complexity of the work that needs to be done. If you are planning a kitchen revamp, we’ll enter your home to take a look at your kitchen and gain a better understanding of the scope of the job. Whether you are planning an exterior or kitchen revamp, we’ll discuss colors, show our sample boards, explain our painting process, provide you with an exact price, explain payment options, and provide you with an expected timeframe for carrying out your Spray-Net transformation.

    • What kind of products do you use?

We are an eco-friendly painting company that uses our own exclusive line of low VOC, water-based, and industrial-strength exterior paints and coatings. All of our products fall under all government VOC limits. Each of our exterior and kitchen paints and coatings are uniquely tailored for each surface and for a specific method of application, and they all contain a unique blend of additives and superior inorganic pigments that allow us to achieve the desired results per surface that we’re revamping!

    • What is the delay between the signing of a contract and the actual painting?

We begin with an at-home consultation and start pre-booking a backlog of projects, so depending on your location, the delays may vary. We formulate and manufacture each color in batches, creating a made-to-order coating for each homeowner and each painting project. So, you can normally expect a minimum delay of 3-4 weeks before we’re ready to paint your home. If we can do it in a shorter delay, then we most definitely will! Getting a completely customized paint job for your home can take some time, but we promise, it’s worth the wait!

    • Since factory paint is “baked,” is your paint as scratch resistant?

When painting doors and windows for manufacturers, IR lamps are used to artificially accelerate the curing process. This specific technique is necessary since the demands of the commercial market require quick packaging and delivery of products. To bring the same one-day permanent factory results to the residential sector, we’ve formulated our exclusive paints and coatings so that they become dry to the touch within 15-30 minutes of application, depending on the weather. In a short time, the paint film achieves a factory OEM level of hardness. With the help of the sun’s natural UV rays, the paint fully cures and achieves maximum hardness and durability in the days that follow. The sun’s natural UV rays are just as effective as a forced factory cure. When needed in unideal weather conditions, however, we can produce a forced bake for front doors in our mobile spray booth, since this high-traffic surface requires a quicker full cure. Our industrial grade formulations coupled with an optimal application process is what allows our coatings to be as scratch and mar resistant as factory coatings.

    • Is there a test phase when the customer chooses a color? Can they test it on their home and surface to make sure they’re happy with the results?

We offer our free visualizer where our clients can upload a photo of their home and virtually test our paint colors on their home’s exterior (adjusted to each surface) or their kitchen cabinets. Unfortunately, we can’t patch test on a client’s home, as it would create a double thickness of paint on the given area, and we pride ourselves in offering a streak-free, smooth factory finish.

    • How many coats of paint do you apply?

Unlike the traditional brush and roller method, spray-applied painting is measured according to paint thickness rather than the number of coats. Depending on the specific exterior coating that we’re using, paint thickness can vary between 4 and 20 mils. A thicker paint film doesn’t automatically mean it will be more durable; it all depends on what we’re trying to achieve for a final product’s properties.

You can be sure that our expert painting crews are equipped with the knowledge, products, and experience to produce a permanent factory finish… every time.

    • How long does it take to complete a project?

For painting exterior siding, we do a thorough power-wash before the actual day of the paint application. This will take at least 3 hours depending on the size of the home. Surface preparation for doors and windows occurs on the same day. Regardless of the size of the project, the actual paint application is typically done in one day. Having said that, we definitely won’t skimp out on quality just to get a home done in a day. If needed for a flawless finish, we’ll take the extra time. If your renewal involves several different colorswe’ll need a little extra time to completely finish the project.

    • How do you control your spray paint so it doesn’t just go everywhere?

All of our products are specifically formulated and optimized for our spray equipment, resulting in a high transfer efficiency. This means that paint ends up on the surface and not in the air. To deal with the minimal amount of overspray that does occur, we’ve taken extra precaution and have formulated our paints and coatings with dry-fall technology, which causes paint particles suspended in mid-air to literally dry up and fall to the ground. All of our team members are trained to use a specific exterior spray painting technique and process that reduces the amount of overspray in the air, and finally, we make sure to cover all surrounding areas such as shrubs, flowers, decks and patio furniture.

  • Cost & Warranty

    • What should I do if I have a warranty claim?

We strive for perfection, but we’re only human. If you need to submit a warranty claim, just fill out the form below. Be sure to include a copy of your Spray-Net contract and some photos of the affected areas. If you have any questions or need more information about your claim, feel free to reach out to us at support@spray-net.com. We’re here to help!

      Warranty Claim Form

    • What is your warranty?

We offer all of our customers a 15-year warranty against peeling. The difference between our warranty and the warranty you’ll find on the back of a paint can is that we don’t tie any weather-related conditions to it. This is possible because of our patented weather adjustable paint process.

    • How much does your service cost per square foot?

We actually take much more than just square footage into consideration when calculating the price of a project. We consider the complexity of the work to be carried out, the number and height of exterior walls, surface accessibility, type of surface, size, and the time that it takes to mask and protect adjacent and nearby surfaces. Since every home is different, we evaluate our prices on a case-by-case basis. In general, the cost of our service is outweighed by the immediate increase in property value. Equally important is the fact that our service costs a fraction of the cost of brand-new siding and doors and windows, allowing you to save on the cost of replacement.

    • How long will the paint last? And if your warranty covers 15 years, does that mean I have to repaint in the 16th year?

Absolutely not. Our high-performance coatings, combined with our practice of adjusting them to on-site weather conditions, ensure optimal adhesion for a durable, long-lasting factory-quality finish. If your paint doesn’t peel after the first two winters, it’s highly unlikely to ever peel. In fact, our products form a tight mechanical (and sometimes chemical) bond to the surface. Peeling often results from inadequate prep and application, and we take every step to avoid this, including weather-adjusting our coatings and applying the right product with the right process for each surface.

Longer warranties, like lifetime or 25, 30, or 50-year warranties, are often more about marketing than actual performance. We chose a 15-year warranty because it accurately reflects the proven durability and quality of our coatings.

However, while we take every precaution to get things right, in the rare case that you do notice peeling after the first two winters (it happens, we’re human), simply give us a call and we’ll come back to fix it.

    • How does my contract warranty work?

Unless as otherwise stated in the project proposal, we offer a 15-year warranty against peeling from the date of completion of the works described in the project proposal. Our warranty covers the labor and the cost of the products. Should your property be sold, the warranty is transferable to the subsequent owners under the same terms and conditions if a copy of the original Spray-Net contract is provided.

    • How can I be sure that you’ll honor your warranty?

As a nation-wide franchisor, we’ve painted thousands of homes across North America, so rest assured, you’ll always have someone to call if you need to. Our warranty isn’t separate from your Spray-Net contract either: it’s built right into it with the details of our warranty clearly and unambiguously stated.

    • Are your prices competitive?

Where our services can overlap with conventional painting companies, we should normally be at a slight premium due to the customized nature of our work, although we have seen that this is actually not even always the case. Because we formulate and apply all of our own products, we are able to cut out many middlemen and deliver those savings and added value straight to you!

We’ve also created a niche for ourselves, so we don’t necessarily do what other painters do, like wood surfaces. We don’t use commercial products or equipment—we use our own exclusive line of professional-quality exterior paints and coatings and top of the line spray equipment. Our products, equipment, and technique create a streak-free, pristine finish that looks absolutely brand-new and won’t peel. From our products to our mobile spray booth, we bring the factory experience right to your doorstep. By offering a quick home revamp, you can boost your home’s curb appeal and increase property value, transforming your renovation into an investment. All the benefits of replacing with the convenience and affordability of painting: the best of both worlds!

  • Paints & Coatings

    • Why don’t you paint wood?

Wood is an organic, living material. • Why don’t you paint sliding windows?

Sliding windows, unlike the manual variety that crank open, will slide back and forth in a track. Due to the friction of the sliding window within its track, this puts immense strain on the coating, and we can’t guarantee that it could withstand the abuse.
